Kids Worship Service Helper

Sundays | 10:15am-12:15pm

Responsibilities

Work with others to supervise kids
Follow the direction of the teacher to help run activities and disciple the children

Qualifications

At least 14 years old, unless serving with a parent
Member or Regular Attender at Grace
Can commit to at least 1 week per month
Completed a background screening

Kids Sunday School Teacher

Sundays | 9:00am-10:15am

Responsibilities

Lead kids in provided lessons and activities
Supervise snack and play time
Direct your Sunday School Helper(s)

Qualifications

At least 18 years old
Member at Grace
Can commit to at least 1 week per month
Experience supervising children
Ability to explain the gospel to a child
Completed a background screening

Kids Sunday School Helper

Sundays | 9:00am-10:15am

Responsibilities

Work with others to supervise kids
Follow the direction of the teacher to help run activities and disciple the children

Qualifications

At least 14 years old, unless serving with a parent
Member or Regular Attender at Grace
Can commit to at least 1 week per month

Nursery Leader

Sundays | 8:45-10:15am; 10:15am-12pm

Responsibilities

Work with others to supervise children
Manage parent sign in and check out
Manage your Nursery Helper(s)
Play with babies, rock them to sleep, etc.

Qualifications

At least 18 years old
Member at Grace
Can commit to at least 1 week per month
Experience supervising infants-toddlers
Completed a background screening

Nursery Helper

Sundays | 8:45-10:15am; 10:15am-12pm

Responsibilities

Work with others to supervise children
Assist Nursery Leader when needed
Play with babies, rock them to sleep, etc.

Qualifications

Newborn Nursery: Women over 18
Crawler and Toddler Nursery: at least 14 years old, unless serving with a parent
Member or Regular Attender at Grace
Can commit to at least 1 week per month
Experience supervising infants-toddlers
Completed a background screening

Awana Leader

Sundays | 6-7:30pm (school year)

Responsibilities

Assist the AWANA Director in your room
Disciple the 5-6 children at your table
Listen to children recite Bible verses
Guide and participate in activities with children

Qualifications

At least high school age
Member at Grace
Can commit to meeting almost every week
Completed a background screening

Awana Helper

Sundays | 6:00-7:30pm (school year)

Responsibilities

Assist the AWANA Director in your room
Listen to children recite Bible verses

Responsibilities

Lead Singer

Responsibilities

Lead the congregation in singing on stage
Harmonize as a Soprano, Alto, or Tenor
Arrive on time to rehearsals
Learn new songs and special arrangements

Qualifications

Age: 7th grade - adults
Member at Grace
Can commit to at least 1 week a month
Proficient singing abilities
Ability to sing in harmony with others
Willing to take direction and work as a team

Choir Member

Thursdays | 6:45pm-8:15pm; GBC Room 116

Sundays | 8:30am-9:00am; Sanctuary

Responsibilities

Sing during the worship service
Attend rehearsals
Learn new songs and special arrangements

Band Member

Thursdays | 8:15pm-9:30pm; Sanctuary

Responsibilities

Play the arrangements during worship service
Attend rehearsals
Learn new songs and special arrangements

Age: 7th grade - adults

Proficient with a musical instrument
Ability to read music
Willing to learn and take direction

Welcome Team Member

Sundays | 8:45-10:15am; or 10:15am-12pm

Responsibilities

Greet and assist people at entrances
Greet each person that passes the Welcome Center
Help people find classes, sanctuary, bathrooms, etc.
Help guests fill out a Welcome Card
Hand out First-Time Guest Gift Bags
Help people get connected to a ministry

Qualifications

At least 16 years old
Member or Regular Attender at Grace
Can commit to at least 1 week per month
Arrives on time on assigned day
Friendly, helpful, and dependable
Ability to stand for long periods
Familiar with the building and ministries

Usher

Sundays | 10:15am-12pm

Responsibilities

Greet people at building entrance doors on either side of the sanctuary
Hand out bulletins
Assist latecomers in finding a seat
Assist in the collection of the offering
Be available to anyone in need of help

Qualifications

At least 18 years old (Men or Women)
Member or Regular Attender at Grace
Can commit to at least 1 week per month
Arrives on time on assigned day
Friendly, helpful, and dependable
Ability to stand for long periods

Safety Team Member

Sundays | 9:00am-12:00pm

Responsibilities

Ensure other's safety in the event of an emergency
Patrol the building, entrances, and outdoor vicinity
Learn and practice emergency plans
Coordinate with team via walkie talkie

Qualifications

At least 18 years old
Member or Regular Attender at Grace
Can commit to at least 1 week per month
Dependable in the event of an emergency

Prayer Corner Leader

Sundays | 11:45am-12:15pm

Responsibilities

Welcome and pray with guests who come to the Prayer Corner after service
Ask for prayer requests. Keep notes.
Lead in prayer
Follow up with those you've prayed with

Qualifications

At least 18 years old
Member or Regular Attender at Grace
Ability to point others to the gospel
Comfortable leading others in prayer
Friendly and dependable
Good listening and communication skills

Special Needs Caregiver

Sundays | 8:45-10:15am; 10:15am-12:00pm

Responsibilities

Supervise someone during the morning hour or during the service
Walk with them throughout the building
Sit with them outside of the sanctuary
Contact their caretaker if needed

Qualifications

At least 14 years old
Member or Regular Attender at Grace
Can commit to at least 2 weeks a month
Patient, gentle, caring, and responsible

Media - Sound Board Operator

Sundays | 8:45-9:30am; 10:15am-12pm

Responsibilities

Adjust audio levels to provide a clear and harmonious house mix
Make sure everyone has their microphone
Manage microphone levels
Troubleshoot when necessary

Qualifications

At least 16 years old
Member or Regular Attender at Grace
Can commit to at least 1 week a month
Competent with technology
An ear for quality sound and music
Willing to learn and take direction

Media - Projector Operator

Sundays | 8:45-9:30am; 10:15am-12pm

Responsibilities

Advance slides in time with lyrics during worship songs
Advance slides during the Bible passage reading
Be ready to advance slides if the pastor's clicker fails to work during service

Qualifications

At least 16 years old
Member or Regular Attender at Grace
Can commit to at least 1 week a month
Very basic knowledge of computers
Ability to advance slides in time with music

Media - Video Recording Operator

Sundays | 10:15am-12:00pm

Responsibilities

Remote control 3 mounted cameras to record the service
Frame your shots with good composition
Transition between shots to broadcast in a visually pleasing manner
Record and live stream the service

Qualifications

At least 16 years old
Member or Regular Attender at Grace
Can commit to at least 1 week a month
Competent with technology
Willing to learn and take direction

Food Ministry Team Member

Saturdays | 8:00am-12:00pm

Responsibilities (any of the following)

Sort and prep food for distribution
Greet and pray for guests / English and Spanish Greeters
Pick up food donations
Administrative duties

Qualifications

Helps Team Member

Schedule based on your availability. Accept or decline requests through your email.

Responsibilities

Can do at least one of the following:
Bring a meal to those who are sick, grieving, had a new baby, etc.
Offer transportation to church, doctor's offices, job interviews, etc.
Help set up, serve, and clean up at church-wide picnics or potlucks.

Qualifications

At least 18 years old
Member or Regular Attender at Grace
Have your own reliable transportation

Toolbox Ministry Worker

Scheduled days when requests come in.

Responsibilities

Assisting seniors, widows, and single parents with handyman jobs
Changing light bulbs
Fixing a sink, fixing a door
Minor yardwork - mowing a lawn, trimming hedges, pulling out weeds
Speaking to residents

Qualifications

At least 18 years old
Member or Regular Attender at Grace
Minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical skills
Able to handle the physical workload

Nursing Home Visitor

Saturdays | 10:30-11:30am

Autumn Lake Healthcare at Crofton, MD

Responsibilities

Assisting residents to and from services
Prayer and Scripture reading
Smiling and speaking to residents
Teaching a 5-8 minute devotional
Sing or play an instrument (if you can)

Qualifications

At least 12 years old
Member or Regular Attender at Grace

Visitation Team

Schedule based on your availability.

Responsibilities

Visit shut-ins and nursing home residents
Provide encouragement through cards, letters, and phone calls.
Check if there is a need that the church can help with
