Local & Global Missions
At Grace, advancing the gospel and making disciples all over the world is very important to us. We designate 23% of the church giving funds solely to missions. Currently we are supporting 28 missionaries and 5 organizations around the world. We also support the GBC Pastoral Internship Program and Scholarship Fund.

Every year we have the opportunity to go on a number of short-term mission trips through the church. Whether you go by yourself, with your family or with your Small Group, these trips are a great opportunity to join in God’s work among the nations.

Rosebud Indian Reservation, SD
Kevin and Stacy work to build a local church for the people at the Rosebud Indian Reservation. They minister to the Lakota people through Bible studies, small groups, and worship services.
Keith & Angie Copley
Papua New Guinea
The Copley family has ministered to the tribes of Papua New Guinea for over 20 years - teaching and translating the Bible into their native language. Keith leads the missions organization and prepares for its future by discipling future leaders.
Alisa Depriest
Glen Burnie, MD
Alisa works with the Good News Jail and Prison Ministry. She counsels incarcerated women and correctional officers and leads Bible studies for women that are geared toward finding a healing relationship with God.
Daniel & Eloisa Estrada
Malaga, Spain
Daniel and Eloisa are leaders at their church, Iglesia Mi Refugio Cristo in Malaga, Spain. They seek to share the gospel and make disciples in their community and even extending into countries like Sweden.
Harry & Muriel Fletcher
Mashpee, MA
Harry and Muriel are a resource to the Good News Jail and Prison Ministry around the world and in the areas of pastoral care, ministry partner relations, church patnerships, and preaching. Harry spends time with criminals and has seen many decisions for Christ.
Brit Fletcher
Glen Burnie, MD
Brit works with the Good News Jail and Prison Ministry at the Anne Arundel County Department of Detention Facilities. He develops training seminars for discipleship and mentor prospective chaplains.
Darlene Gabler
Lewisberry, PA
Darlene ministered to churches in Mexico since 2004. She recently has moved back to the U.S. and now helps with our other missionaries, Fred and Jenn Seiferth as they establish their new church in PA.
Travis & Becky Gravley
Cleveland, OH
Travis and Becky work with Baptist Mid-Missions where they vet and train new missionaries. They also speak at churches, institutions, and recruitment events to promote missions
James & Peggy Herndon
Hudson, Florida
James and Peggy work with Missionary Care Team and Word of Life. They travel to various parts of the world and provide Biblical counseling and field preparedness training for other missionaries.
Ernie & Cissy Hopper
East Africa
Ernie and Cissy help start churches in countries like Uganda and Kenya. They seek to evangelize and teach as well as serve in practical ways such as a medical campaign. They disciple and train pastors and support the growth of over 14 churches.
Paul LaRue
Watauga, TN
Paul works for Children's Bible Ministries where he evangelizes and disciples children and teens through schools, Bible studies, youth groups, summer camps, and clubs.
Chris & Sandy Mikesh
Maryland/DC
Chris and Sandy have served as Awana missionaries for over six years. They work to help churches build Awana programs for children, train Awana leaders, and encourage networking between churches/Awana clubs for sharing gospel opportunities.
Marcela Muresan
Romania
Marcela works closely with our other missionaries, David and Rody Maynard at the ministry at Schitu Duca. She teaches a women's group and also serves as a translator, secretary, administrator, and anything else necessary.
Akin & Kellee Omisanmi
Bowie, MD
Akin and Kellee will be planting/revitalizing a church in the local Bowie area in 2023, Lord willing. Akin will be undergoing full-time pastoral training for two years at Grace Baptist Church in preparation for this mission.
Chris & Megumi Risden
Japan
Chris and Megumi serve the people of Japan in Central Nagano Prefecture. They minister in three churches about three hours NW of Tokyo. Their vision is to see these churches help give birth to other local churches while focusing on evangelism, Bible teaching, and church planting
Tina Sakers
South Africa
Tina travels all over the world sharing the gospel and discipling women, teens, and kids through Global Leadership Academy. She serves in villages and orphanages and helps teams learn how to share their testimony.
Keith & Lisa Sampson
Narva, Estonia
Keith and Lisa serve in Estonia and evangelize to teens and youth through Bible studies, English lessons, Children's Club, Teen Club, and sports clubs. They also try to get teens involved in a healthy local church.
Hannah Seaton
Taiwan
Hannah works with SYME in Taiwan, an organization that teaches students English as a Second Language. They are able to build connections with the students and use the opportunity to also teach them the gospel.
John & Sandy Seaton
Norfolk, VA
John and Sandy work with Biblical Ministries Worldwide and disciple men in the military and their wives. Many of the men then go to their local churches and intiate Bible studies, prayer breakfasts, and other discipleship opportunities.
Fred & Jennifer Seiferth
Lewisberry, PA
Fred and Jennifer are church planters that work with ABWE. They have recently started a church in PA and are looking to refine their church plant strategic plan and continue building their core church planting team.
Bill & Lori Smith

Bill trains pastors in the Bachelor's program at GBBC and serves in a mentoring role. Lori is the nursing officer in charge of their medical clinic where she is involved in medical evangelism. She also helps with church planting ministries in women's and children's outreach.

Annapolis, MD
Chase works with the Good News Jail and Prison Ministry. He visits with incarcerated individuals on a daily basis delivering Bibles and devotionals. He arranges attendance in weekly worship services and Bible studies.
Tuvya & Ellen Zaretsky
Los Angeles, CA
Tuvya and Ellen work with the Jews for Jesus agency that focuses on seeing Jewish people come to faith. They train missionaries and develop global intiatives such as the Jewish-Gentile couple ministry.

Good News Jail & Prison

Their work takes them to places most would never consider - jails and prisons. Their purpose is to be used by the Lord in correctional facilities for effective evangelism, biblical discipleship, and church mobilization.
