As a church, we want to continue to be involved in our community and provide opportunities to connect with them outside of our buildings. This year, we are going to host our fourth Easter Eggstravaganza, which will offer Easter egg hunts, games, food, and more for our community to enjoy. The event is going to be on Saturday, March 31, 2018 from 10 AM - 1 PM across from the Bowie Library. Church family, we need your support to make this outreach event successful.
Why Serve?
We are striving to continue to serve the Lord by making disciples. As Pastor Brady has shown in his diagrams on Sunday morning, there are 4 Es to making a fully devoted follower of Christ who passionately loves God and people. The 4 Es are: Engage, Evangelize, Establish, and Equip. Many people in our community will not simply come to us, so we need to find creative ways to go to them and engage them. The Easter Eggstravaganza has proven to be a great way to engage and proclaim the gospel to people in our community who would never have considered going to a church building. Families have told me how much they appreciate what Grace does for our community and then references the past events that led them to decide to start coming to church on Sunday mornings. Through Grace Gives, the Community Christmas Celebration, and the Easter Eggstravaganza, they see that our church cares and loves our community. By serving in the Easter Eggstravaganza you can help us engage the 1000+ people who bring their families to hunt for eggs and have a fun morning.
How Can You Serve?
Preparing the eggs – we are going to have an Egg Stuffing Party on Tuesday, March 27 from 12pm – 1pm to prepare the 10,000+ eggs. You can come and fellowship with others as you match eggs and fill them with candy.
Preparing the vehicles – on Friday, March 30 from 10am –11am, we are going to load the church vans with tables and supplies.
The event on Saturday - We need people to help setup, run the activities, mingle with the community, and clean up at the end. To sign up to volunteer, click here:
