By Pastor Matt Sikes
I have enjoyed a fun two weeks away with family, but I have missed my church family while away. I am looking forward to being back with you all in worship this Sunday!
As we look forward to our corporate gathering let’s remember the importance and significance of what we do every time we meet together to worship God with his people. It is the one time every week where Grace Baptist Church gathers as a local representation of the body of Christ. It is where we leave the world and enter into an assembly of believers who are proclaiming the Name that is above every name! It is a special time where we receive a foretaste of the Eternal Kingdom which we, as believers in Christ, are citizens of. It is the place where we remind each other of the glorious Good News of Jesus and how it awakens our often cold hearts to the reality of his goodness, love, and grace.
What will you do as you prepare and look forward to this meeting this Sunday?
How will you pray and ask God to work in our midst as we gather?
How will you once again consider how to stir up one another to love and good works?
What we will be singing:
Behold the Lamb (Communion Hymn)
When I Survey the Wondrous Cross
Pastor Mark will be preaching this Sunday as we continue in our series on Wisdom. The title of his sermon will be “Transforming Our Anger.” Please pray that God would work in our hearts to hear his Word with gladness and receptivity.
See you Sunday!
